en dedans:

for leg circles to the side of the body, the direction that has your leg moving backward on the inside and forward on the outside, i.e. counterclockwise for the right leg and clockwise for the left. terminology stolen from ballet because it's useful to have a handedness-neutral term; also because my first teacher used it.

links: the american ballet theater defines the term and has a video of a rond de jambe en dedans here: http://www.abt.org/education/dictionary/terms/dedans.html
